A group of Entities sharing one or more common attributes. |
Comments |
Class: Scope A Class is a collection of Entities. One Entity may belong to any number of Classes: for example, an Entity called John Smith may have or belong to the Classes of Composer, Publisher, AmericanCitizen, AuthorisedSystemUser, MigraineSufferer and CarDriver. Classes themselves may belong to other Classes. For example, Composer, Author and Illustrator may all belong to the Class of ContributorType in an Ontology. A group of Classes in an Ontology may therefore make up a "controlled value set" of instances of another Class. |
