Adaptation

A supporting term for echo:ExtensionsMessage, dcho:InvoiceDeliveryMessage, mwlm:LicenseOrClaimConfirmationMessage, mwlm:LicenseOrClaimMessage, mwlm:LicenseOrClaimRequestMessage, ernm:MusicalWorkLicenseInformationMessage, ernm:NewReleaseMessage, echo:ReleaseAvailabilityMessage, echo:ReleaseStatusInformationMessage, dcho:SalesReportDeliveryMessage, and dsrm:SalesReportToSocietyMessage.

A Creation which is the result of modifying elements of another Creation. Examples: an arrangement of a song, a translation of a text, a remix of a SoundRecording.

Relationships
Parents	Creation	An Output made, directly or indirectly, by human beings.
Children	LyricAdaptation	An Adaptation in which Lyrics (textual elements) of a MusicalWork are modified.
	MusicArrangement	A MusicalWork (with or without Lyrics) in which musical elements have been taken from one or more other MusicalWork(s) and modified.
	UnspecifiedArrangement	A MusicalWork which has been modified but where no specific arrangement Type is known.
	Version	An Adaptation which is an update to a previous version of a Creation. Example: a new version of software.
