Artist
A principal Contributor to a Performance of a MusicalWork or a NonMusicalWork that results in the creation of a Resource, or a principal creative Contributor to a Resource that is not a result of a Performance. Note: Used for naming groups as well as individuals.

Comments Scope:
Typically an Artist is a Performer ('performing artist') but the Term is broad enough to encompass any form of creative contribution.

  Comedian An Artist who makes people laugh (by telling funny stories or by acting).

  MainArtist A Party who is a principal credited Artist for a Resource.
  MixingArtist An Artist creating a mix.
  OriginalArtist An Artist who is an original Artist.
  Performer A performer of a Work.
  RemixedArtist An Artist whose work has been remixed.
Belongs to AVS avs:DisplayArtistRole A Role of a principal Contributor in relation to a Performance or a Fixation.
  avs:ResourceContributorRole A Role played by a Contributor in relation to a Fixation of an abstract Creation.
