Approximately from 1630 to 1760, baroque music saw increasing complexity in the works of composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel, and a proliferation of dance forms, such as the minuet, gigue, courante, allemande, and sarabande, as well as a large number of operas and oratorios.
