An effects device for electric guitar that gives the guitar a shimmery, synth pad-like sound. Created prior to the advent of the polyphonic synthesizer by members of the British rock group 10cc in 1969 to add more texture to their music on the cheap. Listen to it on 'Old Wild Men' by 10cc.
