Category

A supporting term for the messages.

A characteristic of an Entity expressed as a fully-defined lexical or numeric value.

Comments

Scope: A Category is a 'controlled value' which enables an Entity to be grouped or described according to common or measurable attributes. A Category may be expressed in a variety of forms: for example, the height of a person may be categorized as a Flag (eg IsTall=True), a Class (eg TallPerson), an adjectival Quality (eg Tall), a nounal Quality (eg Tallness) or a numeric Quantity (eg Height=GreaterThan 1.92 metres).

Relationships
Parents	Attribute	A Thing that is possessed by another Thing (an Owner).
Children	Characteristic	An intrinsic Attribute of an Entity which is an instance of an Aspect of that Entity.
	Class	A group of Entities sharing one or more common attributes.
