Period
A message term for ern-c:OrderedReleaseInQueueRequestMessage, ern-c:InformationAboutDeliveredAndAvailableReleasesRequestMessage.
A Time represented as a range between two other Times (with measurable Duration, as opposed to a point in Time).
Comments Scope:
A Period is a Time that extends between two Times that limit its Continuance to a measurable value (note that Eternity is not a Period according to this definition). It can therefore also be defined in terms of one of the limiting Times and a Duration. For example, the 19th Century can be defined as a Period of 100 Years starting on 1800-01-01. The start Time and the end Time can be points in Time or they can be Periods as well. For example, the 19th Century can be defined as starting on 1800-01-01 or as starting after the end Time of the 18th Century.
  Point in Time and Period:
Because Time is assumed to be of infinite Granularity, every point in Time can also be expressed as a Period with a start Time and end Time of a finer Granularity. For example, the point in Time '5th January 1986' can also be described as a Period with a start Time of midnight on January 4th and and end Time of midnight on January 5th.
