Name

A supporting term for the messages.

A Thing which denotes an Entity and which is capable of being written.

Comments

Scope: A Name is a Thing which is used to denote an Entity. Typically a Name will be lexical, but it may also be expressed as a symbol. The Name may or may not also be descriptive of the Entity (an Annotation), but when used as a Name its function is simply for denotation.

Parents	Descriptor	A Name or Annotation of an Entity expressed as a partially-defined or undefined data value.
Children	ContextName	A Name of a Context.
	Headword	A primary, written Name of an Entity in an ontology or dictionary.
	Identifier	A Name which is unique within its domain.
	NameDesignation	A designation of a Name.
	PartyName	A Name of a Party.
	ThingName	A Name of a Thing.
	Title	A Name of a Creation.
