Dembow |
A rhythm that emerges from the interplay between a four on the floor kick drum and snare hits on the 4th subdivision of the onbeat and the 3rd subdivision of the offbeat. A fundamental rhythm of reggaeton, the dembow rhythm originated in the 1990 dancehall song 'Dem Bow' by Jamaican musician Shabba Ranks. |
