Play

A supporting term for the messages.

To Perform or display a Manifestation for hearing or viewing through a technological medium.

Relationships
Parents	Perform	To perform a Creation. The Performance may be of a Work or another Manifestation or both (e.g. playing a SoundRecording results in a Performance of both the SoundRecording and the MusicalWork which it contains). A performed Work may exist before the Performance (e.g. a Performance of Beethoven's 5th Symphony), or it may be created by the Performance (e.g. an improvisation).
Children	Display	To display a Resource on a device where it will disappear when the device is switched off. This allowed value is deprecated. DDEX advises that this value will be removed at a future date and therefore recommends against using it.
	PlayInPublic	To play a Resource in a Release publicly. This avs:UseType is typically used when reporting such usages to rights holders.
	Playback	To play a Resource in a Release as an analogue signal for listening and/or viewing by an individual or small group.
	Stream	To stream a Resource.
